Climate Change Scenarios and Impact of the Greenways to Rivers Arterial Stormwater System (GRASS)
As one of the participating schools in the International Geodesign Collaboration, LA6111L studio at Cal Poly Pomona will contribute to the collaboration with the project “Climate Change Scenarios and Impact of the Greenways to Rivers Arterial Stormwater System (GRASS)”.The project is built on the GRASS network previously proposed and designed by the 606 Studio in Cal Poly Pomona for the Bureau of Sanitation, Department of Public Works, City of Los Angeles. The LA6111L studio further brings the GRASS regional network to four local neighborhoods by four teams of MLA students with more detailed typologies of innovations and localized design solutions pertinent to the 10 infrastructural systems proposed by the IGC collaboration. The teams then measure the climate change impact of such innovations in local neighborhoods in the GRASS study area for three major climate change timelines (2020, 2035 and 2050).
