Dan Yuhasz

Lecturer

Dan Yuhasz regularly teaches Sustainable Communities (RS 450) in the Center’s minor program. Dan is a food systems planner who has been involved in community organizing around various national, regional, state and local food and agricultural issues over the last 15 years. He has a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from Cal Poly Pomona and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. His area of interdisciplinary research is in sustainable agricultural economies, food justice, and food systems. Dan is advisor to the Cal Poly Pomona Food Justice Club and the Green Team, the University's environmental club. Dan has previously worked for the Department of Defense, in the Planning Department of the City of Ontario, and as a consultant for the Southern California Agricultural Land Foundation.
