"Planning in the Pandemic: Public Health and Social Justice" revisits the long, shared history between planning and public health to improve quality of life, and the urgency to address the inequalities in communities laid bare by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Awarded in pairs to a practitioner and a scholar, the 2021 Dale Prize medalists are: Miguel Angel Vazquez, AICP, the Healthy Communities Urban Planner at Riverside University Health System-Public Health; and Nisha Botchwey, Associate Dean of Academic Programs at Georgia Institute of Technology whose research focuses on health and the built environment, health equity and community engagement.
