Edward J. Jepson, Jr.
After receiving his doctorate in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Dr. Edward Jepson accepted a teaching position at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2001. The department was closed by the University in 2009, and since then, Dr. Jepson has held and presently holds teaching positions at East Carolina University, the University of West Georgia, the University of Oregon, the University of Idaho, the Catholic University of America and Cal Poly Pomona. He has published numerous articles with an emphasis on sustainable development and co-authored a textbook on planning methods. In addition to his academic career, Dr. Jepson has also been a community development consultant and a local economic development director.
