Joseph Catalano

Joe Catalano is a licensed architect who teaches urban design-related courses in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning. Primarily a practitioner in architecture, planning and historic preservation, his past teaching has included Syracuse University and Washington University in St. Louis. His teaching at Cal Poly includes the fundamentals of urban form as formal analysis, and as it relates to human interactions. Other current concerns include housing density in California. He is also a local Planning Commissioner, and a past president of the Pasadena & Foothill Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
