BERNARD ZIMMERMAN LECTURE SERIES: Edwin Chan, EC3
Edwin Chan, founder of Los Angeles-based EC3, served as a design partner for more than 25 years at Frank Gehry & Associates (later Gehry Partners) on many of the practice's prominent cultural and institutional projects. His portfolio of work spans master planning, furniture design, exhibitions and set design.
EC3, founded in 2012, specializes in cross-disciplinary architecture and design projects, and draws on Chan's wealth of experience in arts and culture programs. His nine-person team has established the practice's rich portfolio of private and mixed-use projects in the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Notable projects include the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the Weisman Art Museum in Minneapolis, the American Center in Paris, the Novartis International Office Building in Basel, and sets for the Los Angeles Opera's productions of "Tannhauser" and "Ariade aug Naxos."
