Lecturer Ann Phong from the Department of Art will kick off her latest art exhibition on Thursday, Nov. 8 at The Muckenthaler Cultural Center with a celebratory gallery opening. Admission is free.
Phong's art explores her trans-Pacific journey from Vietnam to California. Her works typically incorporates found objects, and in addition to her expressions of cross-cultural identity also reflects her world's imperiled natural environment.
When she's not teaching, Phong actively serves as the director of the Vietnamese American Arts and Letters Association (VAALA).
